Exploring the history of Omaha and other Western towns, the Durham Western Heritage Museum presents authentic artifacts and reconstructed scenes depicting both significant historic events and everyday life in previous eras. Visitors can board a restored streetcar and train cars, see authentic 18th and 19th century coins and learn about various typical household rooms from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Housed in Omaha's 1931 art deco Union Station, the museum sits along the train tracks south of the scenic Gene Leahy Mall and its connecting Heartland of America Park.
